- At what age can my child start playing lacrosse?
- Sartell-Sauk Rapids Lacrosse Association begins at the 6U level.
- Sartell-St. Stephen offers a 4-week summer recreation option for students entering 1-5th grade.
- Can my child play with a different age group?
- If you would like to seek a waiver request, please contact a board member or the registration manager. Please note that SSRLAX follows age recommendations and rules from USA Lacrosse. Homegrown Lacrosse & USA Lacrosse recommend players follow this development chart to provide balanced teams when possible.
- What does my child need for practice?
- Players should plan to wear full gear for all practices unless indicated by the coaches. Mouthguards are strictly enforced in games so players should practice with them as well.
- Water bottle
- Practice pinnies are provided by the association and will be returned at the end of the season.
- What are Dibs and what if I don't complete them?
- Dibs are volunteer hours. Each family is responsible for 5 hours. A buyout of $20/hour is available if a family cannot meet the 5-hour commitment.
- Dibs can be fulfilled in various ways. The most common way is to keep time or score during a game. All Dib opportunities are posted under the Dibs tab.
- SSRLAX is a volunteer-run program so we need the help of everyone to keep the program going.
- Are games indoors or outdoors?
- All games are played outside, rain or shine. Most games are on grass fields, but some locations are on turf. Families should plan for all weather conditions and bring chairs.
- How do we clean the equipment we borrowed?
- Play It Again Sports has an ozone machine to clean equipment. You must provide a receipt to certify equipment is cleaned to get your deposit back.
